July 10, 2009 at 9:19 pm #6056F A N T A S T I C !
That tastes more than good. What a great work of this incredible Mr. Tubb !
The first pics of that super-MX-vignette.
A very good idea of yourself!
Thank you Master Theobald for sharing this and fill up the lazy summer nights.July 10, 2009 at 10:49 pm #6061Well, my main intention with this small gallery (thread) also is to document Chris’ process of sculpting such a thing and have you taking part in it.
July 11, 2009 at 1:29 am #6063What a fantastic beginning to the party! Wow!
July 11, 2009 at 9:17 am #6066It feels like home, let’s have a drink and something to eat!

I hope the figures will be not so expensive, that I cannot buy them all.
How I agree with you, just like the ‘old days’ .
Re the price, well I guess that has to reflect the reality, just be glad that someone has taken up this challenge on behalf of us Mithril lovers.
Thank you for the insight Master Theobald.
July 11, 2009 at 6:09 pm #6072BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO!
I will certainly buy a set, maybe even two. how many sets are being produced, Theo?
July 15, 2009 at 1:14 pm #6092A set, twrich, you said? Well, you have to think it over as those three dwarves are only a very small part of the complete “set”. They will not be released as single figures. It will become something of a size that never before was produced by Mithril. And please mind that not each and every detail has been discussed so far. I’m looking forward very optimistically.
July 15, 2009 at 1:55 pm #6093mmmhh now that I look closer at the pic… isn’t the dwarf in the middle our dear Bombur?
he seems to be quite… “large” and “food enthousiast” we’ll sayJuly 15, 2009 at 3:55 pm #6094You’re right, Gildor. There obviously isn’t much our Elf doesn’t know. Bombur is the one eating and holding the plate. The other two are Bifur and Bofur.
July 17, 2009 at 5:04 pm #6133by now some furniture has been sculpted and added …
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_bifur_bofur_and_bombur_3.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_bifur_bofur_and_bombur_3.jpg[/imgz]
and besides, it wasn’t only Bombur who so far never appeared in the Mithril ranges … or has anyone seen Bifur or Bofur before … rhuoomm .. I doubt …
July 17, 2009 at 9:44 pm #6138Very professional, that impression, I must say. The Man jaust took the right way that leads him to a magnificent detailed MX-Vignette.
Under support of somebody in the background . . . who knows also about magnificent details . . .July 18, 2009 at 7:13 am #6141I cannot stand waiting for them any longer, aaah! Patience is not my virtue this time …
July 18, 2009 at 9:41 am #6145I just hope the result… won’t have bad moulding lines, or thick primer problem… I would be mad…
So far, it looks superb
August 1, 2009 at 12:20 am #6249So here’s a rough idea of the second section of the vignette. Please mind that the figures are not quite complete – but this is just about to give you a general idea of how Mr Tubb sees this section of the vignette.
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_gandalf_thorin_and_balin_2.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_gandalf_thorin_and_balin_2.jpg[/imgz]
August 1, 2009 at 12:34 am #6250As you might remember, with this I also want to keep record of the way Mr Tubb is sculpting and working. Here I have to put my thanks to him as he allowed me to do so.
August 1, 2009 at 12:52 am #6251The next two vignettes have been started already …
Dwalin and another two Dwarves carrying “precariously balanced plates” while Bilbo mops his brow in agitation. Then there might be Fili and Kili tuning up their fiddles.
I just hope some of you will enjoy this vignette once it is completed.
And … at the Ent … doesn’t it remind you of something?August 1, 2009 at 6:36 am #6254Theobald wrote:The next two vignettes have been started already …

This is developing into a great looking set, I must say, the latest in progress photos are ‘mouth-watering’.
August 1, 2009 at 8:48 am #6258Ah these three are perfect indeed!!
I am quite excited at the idea of having a dwarf playing his harp though, will there be one?
