Hey gents, this is a nice, new place.

Since I can’t figure out messages here, the Ranger in the dark corner has a message at the old place and an email sent (hopefully the email is current).

Jeremy is awesome…I watched him paint at a show in Italy. Ten of us crowded around him at a table.

John Howe I haven’t met. What a dream!

Excellent Fabrice! Very well done. Do you know Richard Poisson? He has painted many Mithrils.

A round for everyone, whatever drink they might want!

It’s been long travels with joy and pain, loss and gain, lost parents, new children, new life…

No one will ever say “a proper 2020 that was”, but I hope it has not been too bad for you all. And may it be better for the man in the dark corner in knowing that a package will be coming – though to be prudent, probably after the holiday rush, for it is precious, and coming with it a thousand apologies.

Actually, I picked this up (in resin, not metal) this last weekend. Jim has sold Time Machine and the new owner had a few cast just for fun. Of course there is no danger of mistaking it for the metal version. And it is quite a nice figure. Because it’s only a resin version (which = place holder in the collection with no real value), I just might paint it one of these days.

I think I titled my suggestion “Sam, camp cook”. I don’t know where apparatus comes from. With apparatus in the name, it sounds either translated from a different language or like it’s a non licensed knock off like “elf in mail” or “dwarf smithing silver like material”.

Sam, camp cook, A brace of coneys, Sam with a brace of coneys, Of herbs and stewed rabbit, anything else would be good…

I do wonder if Lars wants to sell Mithrils only from their website because, presumably, the price Mithril charges is the retail price and any Mithrils sold through a hobby shop would be sold to the owners at wholesale price. I think he’s too comfortable with charging full retail through mithril.ie even though in the long run, it’s short-sighted. I know the economy is rough in Ireland, but still…did Lars have to take a second mortgage on the factory or something?

Collectors shouldn’t have to take over the job as marketers, especially when everything is pretty much already in place with regards to Prince August products. Besides, Mithril has something special. I think if one has an officially licensed Tolkien product, flaunt it and take advantage of the buzz that’s already started from the long anticipated Hobbit movies.

Thanks everyone. I hope Barliman isn’t offended if I avoid the scrumpy… :D

                                So far, so good. :)

And should the Man drop in, give him a drink on me for the latest Sam fellowship figure. It’s just how I was hoping it would be. (I just hope they don’t really call it “Sam with cooking apparatus”. Ugh. Too formal and impersonal. I prefer “Sam, camp cook” or something, anything else.)

                                    Very nice painting!

Given the intolerance of GW regarding even bringing other companies’ minis to their store, this will be quite a coup. Hehehe…. Can’t wait to see the foto of the table. :D

Have fun looking at all the nicely painted figures while you’re at GD…even if they are all made by GW. I imagine JMPN and Dieguete will be there…

It’s the perceived need for strong female characters. Rather silly and at times quite detrimental to the storyline. She probably helps Bilbo escape from the Elvenking’s realm and later appears with the elves and tries to talk everyone out of fighting each other until the orcs appear. And then kicks orc butt. (I hope I’m wrong…)

He hasn’t been paid?!? That is just not right. The company should pay him – then decide whether to sit on them and not release them. 😡 Honestly, masters in that scale aren’t that expensive.
